Teradata 14 Certified Professional

A successful candidate has knowledge of the core concepts of the Teradata database and related technologies. The candidate understands relational database concepts, the major components, features, functionality, and Teradata’s data distribution and data access methods. The candidate has an understanding of operational, tactical, strategic business intelligence, and analytical processing.

Teradata 14 Certified Technical Specialist

A successful candidate has core knowledge and skills about Teradata Structured Query Language (SQL) using both ANSI standard conventions and Teradata extensions to the language as well as the core knowledge and skills necessary to design and implement a Teradata Database from a logical data model. The candidate understands the Teradata implementation of data distribution, space usage, data access and data manipulation processes. The candidate can implement a Teradata Database using a set of requirements.

Teradata 14 Certified Database Administrator

A successful candidate has core knowledge and skills necessary to set up, manage, and maintain a Teradata database environment. The candidate has a thorough understanding of Teradata database concepts, object creation, system and query performance, space management, security, system parameters, workload management, capacity management, and database utilities.

Teradata 14 Certified Solutions Developer

A successful candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to design and write optimized applications that integrate and access data in Teradata environments. The candidate leverages the parallelism and data manipulation techniques in Teradata. The candidate makes effective choices and use of available Teradata utilities, features, and functions in developing quality solutions.

Teradata 14 Certified Enterprise Architect

A successful candidate has knowledge and skills necessary to design enterprise data warehouse architectures with rigor centered around the Teradata environment. This includes information management, optimization, data integration (data source to database target), data protection, data governance, and information delivery strategies. This candidate will incorporate the features of Teradata to ensure integrity and optimum performance.

Teradata 14 Certified Master

A successful candidate has the knowledge and skills necessary to be a technical authority for designing, implementing, and managing a Teradata enterprise-wide data warehouse. This individual can provide recommendations on all aspects of the data warehouse lifecycle from conceptualization through production implementation and ongoing management and support.

Teradata 14 Basics Exam

Purpose of the Exam

This exam will certify that the successful candidate has knowledge of the core concepts of the Teradata database and related technologies. The candidate understands relational database concepts, the major components, features, functionality, and Teradata’s data distribution and data access methods. The candidate has an understanding of operational, tactical, strategic business intelligence, and analytical processing.

1 hour 30 minutes*
*The exam duration shown is the amount of time allowed for answering exam questions. The Test Delivery Provider may add time to your total appointment to provide the opportunity to get seated, read the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and complete the tutorial (if applicable) before you start the exam.

Prerequisites, Eligibility Requirements and Recommended Experience

This exam has no pre-requisite exam or certification requirements.
Exam TE0-141 does not require an eligibility voucher.
Minimum of 6 months experience working with Teradata technology is recommended.

Retake Policy

A failed exam may be retaken after a 21 calendar day waiting period. The 21 calendar day waiting period begins from the date of the failed exam attempt.
You will be required to schedule a new appointment and pay for the exam.
You may attempt an exam a maximum of three (3) times during a six (6) month period.

Re-taking the same Teradata 14 exam after passing that exam will not be allowed.

    • Describe the layers of the Enterprise data warehouse architecture.
